
Mario Baez
Economist and former member of the United NationsMario Báez, a native of the Dominican Republic, is a specialist in agroeconomics and campaign management with extensive experience across Latin America. He holds a B.S. in Economics from the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo, a Master’s in Agricultural Economics from Auburn University, and a Master’s in Elections and Campaign Management from Fordham University. He has also earned graduate certificates in agribusiness, strategic communication, and marketing from institutions in the United States and Chile.
Báez has served in various capacities at the United Nations, including Junior Program Officer, Budget Officer, and Director of Planning and Operations at the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean, with field experience in Santiago, Chile, and Mexico City. He also worked on program management with the Dominican Republic’s National Planning Office and with the U.S. Agency for International Development. Currently, he serves as Chief of the Policy and Oversight Coordination Service at the UN Department of Management.
